Bonus content!!
I want to ask you to come to our farewell show. It will be a night of thanksgiving but funkytown style so it's called FTP Presents: Fakesgiving 2019. If you have ever listened to, been a guest of or a part of the show I would love you to be there. The lineup is perfect. There will be some sort of open mic at first. If you want to be a part of that email me or message me because time slots are limited. We will have Wrex doing his thing. He is full of gratitude. He even has a song that goes " I wake up early in the morning counting blessings" Wrex is cool and if you if you haven't seen him this is a perfect setting. Joe Savage is a staple on the show. He comes on the 1st podcast of the year every year to make sure we kick off the show in style and with intent. Joe Savage is some sort of Texas Buddhist Beatnick to me. He some how manages to wrap poetry with Texas twang and a zen like out look. To close out the show there couldn't be a better band to represent the funkytownpodcast spirit. Garage Barrage is one of those bands that brought me pure joy. Their music is infectious, sometimes silly and just strikes every right chord in my soul. My love for that band is as pure as the music they make from their garage while drinking Zimas and eating pizza. See you November 9th at Main at South Side. Show starts at 8:30PM

If you have never listened and think this is a good episode to start with, it isn't. Go back and listen to any of the last several we have done. If you are a regular listener or a "LEW" and you don't mind fighting through some electronic interference, well this is what happens when you go camping with the JJTM boys. I had a really good time and enjoyed a nice little break away from the city. Check out The Jerry Jonestown Massacre podcast if you haven't already and as always. Phantomelo Love
Tuesday Apr 23, 2019
Tuesday Apr 23, 2019
We got a really good episode for you this week. William Rakkar and Panda Cuenca from Phantomelo join us in studio. Joe Tacke, you may know him from the cover of the Fort Worth Weekly, is here along with the ever popular Susie Ramone. The show kicks off with Phantomelo's single Gum Love. We chat about the song and video. Shout out to Ian McKenyon and Coffee Pot Films who made this great video. Phantomelo had their EP release 4/19/19 at Lolas and Mean Motor Scooter had theirs 4/20/19 at MASS and we talk about both shows. We also get into the music on the EP. The meaning behind some of the songs and we find out if Panda is her real name. Speaking of MMS we play Organic Frequency in the middle of the show to showcase their EP a little more. No emails or Zach Libs this week. We talk a little more about the album and the production, Dripping Springs and Taylor Tatsch. We have a few questions and hypotheticals at the end of the show. It was really fun meeting these two and the Ep is 4 fantastic songs. I really like it and it is always better to see them live. They have some shows coming up so like them on Facebook and download their EP on any of the social media apps like spotify or apple music. We close out highlighting another local band with some new music and friends of PMelo, we have Kyoto Lo-fi and their song Godot.
