Southside Pirate John Rody and Sallie Rody

John Rody and Sallie Rody showed up last night on time with gifts. They brought some Kind bars that are delicious. I forgot to mention the snacks on the show as well as a bunch of other stuff. I had an FM DJ intro I was going to do, a WhiskeyBoy joke and much more, but when a Texas radio hall of famer is sitting across from you watching you do your thing, well your mind goes to mush. I think I really only asked one question. This is really a conversation between friends and these are my favorite kind of shows. I am not going to tell you what we talked about, you will have to listen. Don't be intimidated by the length (I've never said that before) this is super interesting and entertaining. When John Rody speaks you cant help but pay attention and the time flys. I will tell you it is almost entirely about the Southside Pirate. There is a lot of radio talk. Some of it is technical and some philosophical. I had so much fun doing this. This radio station is going to be something special and you are just witnessing the beginning. Fort Worth is going to have their own truly local station and its very very exciting. The opening track I never mention on the podcast. ( Brain = mush) The first track you hear is Chucho called Peace Sign. This song is so rad. You can get the whole EP on bandcamp and the whole thing is really great. In the middle we take a break and get a Shower of Country Gold by locals Convo and the Cattlemen. Another truly tremendous album. Not to be out shined we close the show with one of my favorite tracks for the one and only Denver Williams called Kick that heavenly Feeling.
