Coming clean with Cody Soape
In this episode I sit with visual artist Cody Soape. We start off on the great shoestring conspiracy. He shares his experience participating in the Nuisance Goes to Camp. An art show curated for the Grackle! Cody gets in to what its like to make album art for Dreamy Soundz Jazz Confusion. The first track played on the show is from that album. Black Dog Revisited featuring Tony Rizzo "Elephant Toes." A little more than halfway thru we play Sway from the Fibs album Hex Hex Hex. Cody talks about the process for making the cover for that album as well. He talked about making art while listening to music like botany and the tidals, who played the art show at the Grackle. Its a very honest episode. We talk about art, the city, politics, and the importance of being socially aware and locally active. At the end of the podcast I play a song by Vincent Neil Emerson a.k.a Lefty Emerson. It is called Darlin' I've been lonely. If you can help lefty out at his idiegogo page please do.
