Jacob Furr in Chicken Fried Steak and Sushi
Jacob Furr is a true gem. He is a talented musician, he has a wonderful voice and his lyrics are some of the best in town. The truly wonderful thing about Jacob Furr is his ability to remain open and honest. What a wonderful time we had. This week we are back in the Temple of Funky because rock and roll was to much for Joe Tacke and he had to have a personal day. HR will be notified! Zachary Zanetich is here and all is well. The show kicks off with a wonderful song called Tail Lights. We give props to and talk smack about Off Radar Podcast who did a fantastic sit down with Jacob. You guys should really hear that episode. It has been just over 2 years since the passing of his wife and we talk a little about the road trip out west he took shortly after. This one tends to be a little somber at times but thats broken up with Zach Libs. After the middle track Head Lights (tentatively named) we jump right into it and its Jacobs first time doing mad libs. Our brand new segment is back Flash Taco (taco talk) and we do very little to inform you of where you can get awesome tacos. They are around we just cant remember the names of the location. Ha You can catch Jacob and his full band every Wednesday at Fred's Texas Cafe on 7th. You can also catch him this Saturday the 19th at The Live Oak for the Power the Tower a fundraiser for KFTW 97.5 The Pirate Fort Worth. You can also see The Phantom Sensation Sally Majestic Lindsay Hightower and more! Doors open at 7pm and tickets are $9.75
We close with a blog entry that Jacob wrote that really moved me as well as a beautiful song called Ophanim. You can find everything Jacob Furr at http://www.jacobfurrmusic.com/
Why are you still reading you should really be hearing this!
