Lyndsay Cole in Red Empire and FW Weekly and Bears! Oh my!
Recorded live to tape in One Horn Studios the whole crew is back this week. Joe Tacke is perfecting the sound and Zach Zanetich brings analog Zach Libs. Our first Dallas band made it on the show. Stereo Control opens up the show with Arms like an octopus, Mind like a goldfish. Our special guest is Lyndsay Cole founder of Red-Empire and journalist for the Fort Worth Weekly. She is fantastic and we talk about some of the shows she's booked, bands she's worked with, interning for Blackbox and her love of the Foo Fighters. The middle track is by Shake The Moon and its called Roleplaying. The second half we have Zach Libs, political talk and desert island music. Lyndsay was very cool and a whole lot of fun. Its late so Im keeping it short but there is a lot of good stuff in here about booking bands, shows, venues, smoking bars, weird request and so much more. I do hope you'll give it a listen. The last track is by Ryan Tharp called Pleased to meet You. It's currently unreleased and is going to be on his upcoming album. You can only hear it here. Cool huh? Check out Ryan Tharp Mondays at Magnolia Motor Lounge. You can see Stereo Control at the Foundry on the 28th of Aug for their EP release or catch them Sept 11 at The Grotto with Troody. Sept 4 at Shipping & Receiving you can catch Shake the Moon with Animal Spirit, The Longshots, Oil Boom and Son of Stan. Thanks for listening everyone!
