Movie the Band

I just love this weeks episode. We had on a couple of members from Movie the Band. Mack and Kylie join us and open and close the show with live music.  The opening track is Goin' Back to Texas and its cool to hear it acoustic with a keyboard and melodica. It was even cooler to witness it live. Kylie was rockin' it!
You find the track off of their EP LakeHaus Tapes. We talk about the lake house and the relationship some of the band members have with each other, how they met and what have you.  Its a big night for Zach Libs as we close out the first of 3 mad lib notebooks. (jeez) The middle track is a Cloudland Studio version of their song TV done by Britt Robisheaux. You get to hear it here first! The second half is a lot of fun as we get to know each other better. I remember vetoing math talk on air but instead getting into music theory talk instead. So have fun with that. =) The last track is another live version of a track off of their EP called Freeway Closed. I dig this band and their sound. It fits comfortably in with the Dreamy Life bands I currently like. I hope you check them out and see them live. They kick off Arts Goggle this Saturday at noon on the 8th street stage.
