Cody Cannefax is iNcelta
Tuesday Nov 28, 2017
Tuesday Nov 28, 2017
This we week we have Cody Cannefax on the show. He just released a new album , Music Time Capsule, under the name iNcelta.
"iNcelta is a solo artist who writes, records and sings onall of his material. His debut album Music Time Capsule will feature 9songs with lots of instrumentation and experimental twists & turns."
The opening song is also the opening song on the new album and its called Lasserie. The album is grand. An ambitious undertaking. We talk to Cody about making the album. When he started, where he finished. The concept and agenda behind it. I would describe the album as a musical album. Its full of different styles but is rooted in funk I believe. The middle track is Mr. Sunshine. I like this one. Actually I like them all. After the break we have a little more fun. We talk Thanksgiving and holiday stuff, the Mean Motor Scooter Tour, Mc Chris and my #metoo story from the Southern Train Gypsy show at the Grotto Saturday Night. The whole podcast was recorded and will be show on YouTube on iNcelta's channel. Make sure and check out his channel and subscribe and look for the show upcoming. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWG87RItf2TKWrb-sEwj2Aw
We close the show out with a darker track called Bad Bad Dreams. It has to do with mental health and there will be a video for it to help raise awareness. Cody Cannefax is a good dude and a Fort Worth local musician Veteran. He has been doing this a while and I think he really nailed something here with this album. I hope you check it out and enjoy the show. As always

Going extinct with Lance Sanders (Mammal Virus)
Tuesday Nov 07, 2017
Tuesday Nov 07, 2017
Lance Sanders from Mammal Virus joined us to talk about the new EP dropping this week from Dreamy Life Records and Tapes. We start of the show with the opening track War Machine/Killer. We get into some heavy duty topics right off the bat including but not limited to mass extintion. We get to know Lance a little in this episode and what a interesting and thoughtful dude. I was really drawn to the music this band creates. Recorded by Robby Rux at Cloudland, the EP has great space between insturments and his voice really adds a nice moody layer. In the middle we play a really great track called Crook where you will groove on the bass line and hold up a lighter during the guitar solos. Its a rocking track while still carrying a jangle much like the Old 97s getting a little grungy. We have Zach Libs and its a doozy. We also talk about Preachers and money, Bass fishing and Ween on Halloween. I am super glad Lance was able to come by and hang out with us. Zachary Zanetich and Joe Tacke were both present as we recorded in One Horn Studios but no Susie Ramone. She was missed (Especially by Lance) We close out the show with my favorite track called Cage. Its a little heavy and dark and its greatness. Check out the EP this friday Nov 10th at Dreamy Life around 6pm. You can find all the info on Facebook. #suckitstubbs #keeplistening #neverstop

Group Therapy Vol 4 Holiday!
Wednesday Oct 18, 2017
Wednesday Oct 18, 2017
I read an article in the FW Weekly where the writer had big asperations and was going to film and review all 19 bands at Group Therapy 4 this past Sunday. Although he did a great job and wrote an awesome article, he fell short of his goal. I too had big ideas of what this podcast was going to be. Dreamy Life (Dreamy Sounds/Lo-Life) has a really speacial place. Its the first collective that I came upon that really drew me in and made me want to do a podcast. There was a while there where you could have said I was a dreamy soundz podcast. Ha. Anyways I too fell short of my goal of bringing you an epic podcast. One reason was its really hard to find a quiet spot to get a good conversation going and secondly I really just wanted to enjoy the event and not work. Joe and Zach were MIA but me and the birthday girl Susie Ramon still managed to mine some gold from that day. I hope you enjoy The compilation is pretty spectacular so make sure you pick one up.https://dreamyliferecords.bandcamp.com/album/group-therapy-vol-4
Intro, Movie the Band "Lighter Naseau" , Mandy Hand (Kink'D interview, Robby Rux, Acid Carousel (interview), Prof Fuzz (interview), Eli from VVOES, Teenage Sexx "Honestly", Caleb from Teenage Sex (interview), Brandon Peterson from Brother and Sister designs, Preston from the Fibs A.K.A Jack Thunder, closing thoughts, The Fibs "Simply Divine"

Fish Cast 3 Chicken Liver and Minnows
Monday Oct 02, 2017
Monday Oct 02, 2017
Dustin Schnieder (The Jerry Jonestown Massacre and Plastik Object Photography) and I hit a pond right off of the Trinity River just north of Downtown Fort Worth. Armed with only chicken liver and minnorws the hunt was on for catfish and the elusive croppie. I had over 2 and a half hours of audio to go through and a lot of good stuff hit the editing room floor. I just couldn't release a 2 hour and 45 minute fishing podcast. However there is still plenty of good audio to go through. From Fort Worth history, football, flag etique, fishing stories of course, the state fair, music, cable tv, YouTube wormholes and the history of Isis. Plus so much more. There are some pretty good ideas in here being thrown around and if you are interested in seeing any of these come to light let me know. If I get enough feedback i will see what we can make happen. This was a fun one to make and I hope a fun one to listen to. There is a really cool drone video on Dustins page. I left that out of the audio version so if you want some extra bonus footage its pretty cool, plus a couple of other videos and pictures are there. The shows kicks off with Jack Thunder and Road Soda and we close with the Hendersons and there is a little gift in the middle.

BomBARDed Cool is the Rule
Wednesday Sep 20, 2017
Wednesday Sep 20, 2017
Did you guys know that one of the great pop bands in Fort Worth, Lindby, has their own podcast? BomBARDed is a musical DnD (dungeons and dragons) podcast and it's fantastic. This week we have a couple of the players, Nick Spurrier and Nick Goodrich, as well as the DM Kyle Claset. We do a hard 45 minutes of DnD talk according to Joe Tacke. I am familiar with the game and set up but not really so we talk some of the basics and how it works and the process of making the show. We dont talk a lot about their local music projects but we do play songs from their most current album Drive. The opening track of the show is called Morning. The track we play in the middle is Baby James. After the break we get into an Epic Zach Libs. I think this is my favorite one of all time. We end the show talking a little about our weekend, some really good album releasess this weekend, plus Kidfish and camp, and shout out to the lighter thief Kevin Giest. We close the show with Tomorrow's Giants. These guys were fun and their show is really great and I hope you check it out. Even if you are not a DnD type person you will still love BomBARDed. You can find them on podbean, itunes or even bandcamp and while you are there pick up an album or two. https://lindby.bandcamp.com/ https://bombarded.podbean.com/ https://twitter.com/bomBARDedcast
Thanks to the Fort Worth Weeklly for picking us as Best Local Podcast (critics choice). Congrats to our friends over at the Jerry Jonestown Massacre. As aways #suckitstubbs
