This week we have Richard Phillip of Henry the Archer and the very talkative William VanDolah from Off Radar Podcast and Dustin Schneider from the Jerry Jonestown Massacre. We are ramping up to the big party March 12 at the Boiled Owl. The show kicks off with a killer Mean Motor Scooter song. We start off getting to know William and Off Radar a little. We talk to Dustin and Richard about having all access to the Bernie Sanders rally in Grand Prairie. We talk Jessie Fry and what an amazing experience they all had together at the rally and how that all came about. We get into Trump, republican debates and other political nonsense. The middle track is an older but soon to be newer Henry the Archer track called She is Evil. We talk about Henry the Archers newest bass player. You may know him from another local outfit called Chingalotus. Having Charles Cam Marchbanks playing for HTA is going to bring a really interesting element to the band and I am super stocked to see them play, We also talk about the genius of Denver Williams and Richards man crush on him. Is this week the last week for Zach Libs? Who should drive between Dallas, Fort Worth and Denton...the bands or the fans? What is Williams favorite local band? All this and more and if your aching for live music Richard closes out the show with a great acoustic version of Why Cant You Hear Me. This one is a not to be missed episode and I hope you have as much fun as we did. Come see us Saturday March 12 at the Boiled Owl for I Happy am. The Phantom Sensation, Henry the Archer and Mean Motor Scooter.

Its the last week of our love series and we have on Jessica Marie (The Phantom Sensation) and Brokestring Brandon Burnett (TPS and I Happy am.) We have a really good show this week. Some fun talk, some deep talk, some love talk and some real talk. Ha. Lots of talking I guess. The first track we open with is Blind Love. All songs were played live. We talk about the progress of the Black Grass Express and some ideas for a train gig. We find out what young Jessica and Brandon are like. Were they high school sweethearts, did they live in sin, and what did their families think? We also get into politics. We play a how much to play the Trump rally game. The middle track is No Tomorrow and its a good one. We play Zach Libs, have some taco talk and try to answer the question is important to have premarital relations. Callie Dee's Love Life Sucks
Monday Feb 22, 2016
Monday Feb 22, 2016
We continue our month of love this week with Callie Dee. Joe Tacke and Zach Zanetich are reunited and it feels so good. The show opens with a track from Playdough and Sean Patrick called Humble Pie and it is my new favorite track right now. It is so great. Then we get into Callie Dee and who she is and what she does and how she spent her Valentines Day. I love talking to Callie Dee and I am so glad she came back on. Our conversations are always fun and interesting. The middle track is an interesting number from Velarde called HighSky. This one has a quirky beat and delivery with a female doing, i think, interesting stuff vocally and another fun listen. We do Zach Libs of course and then we get into Callie's love life a little more and her take on monogamy and polyamory. Its a very interesting conversation concerning love and relationship and roles and rules. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did recording it. Make sure and follow, or like Callie Dee on Facebook and follow Red Empire as well. If you are into local DFW Hip Hop this is the person you need to attach your wagon to and follow along. She can give you all the best stuff locally and she's an awesome person to boot. The last track is by Mozezthagreat and its called For the City. Its a perfect song to close the show out with. Rahim Quazi Relax, Breath
Monday Jan 25, 2016
Monday Jan 25, 2016
Special thanks to Beth Wilson for hooking me up with such an amazing individual. Rahim Quazi stopped in at One Horn Studios and we had a great time with him. Joe Tacke is back and Zachary is out so no Zach Libs this week. This one is just a straight up conversation between the three of us about the Fort Worth scene both past and present, the Dallas scene and the new life in Deep Ellum and how to keep the wheel turning once you have momentum. The first track is a live acoustic track called I Want to See You Smile. Fantastic! Rahims voice and melody is just spot on. Rahim talks some of a divorce and his latest album Ghost Hunting. The middle track is Ghost Hunting and done acoustically and beautifully, but if you hear the studio track you can hear a womans scream that is an actual recording of a ghost captured by Rahim while visiting a ghost town. You have to hear his album. He released his album to a standing room only show at the Kessler. He is a fan of Danny Balis, as am I, so we talk about his solo album, Sorta, the Ticket and the Twilight Lounge. This was such a truly fun conversation and I had no idea what a big player Rahim is in the Dallas and Fort Worth music scene. Great write up in the Weekly and Observer about him. He was nominated for two DOMAs and a Grammy for Ghost Hunting. Wow! Right? He is an amazing person with such a great vibe about him. We did talk a little spirituality stuff. Shout out to Joe Easton and The School of Metaphysics and Mindy Audlin. The last track is a studio track called Relax, Believe. Great advice for anyone at anytime. Its amazing. Here comes Anthony Coker and The Majestics
Monday Jan 18, 2016
Monday Jan 18, 2016
This week we have a very special show for you. We are back at funkytownpodcast studios, aka my living room, with another Joeless show. Our guest this week is an interesting young man named Anthony Coker. He is the singer/guitar player for Anthony Coker and the Majestics. The first track Temptation Queen is going to blow your socks off. We start the show off with a recap of the weekends events and, a happy birthday to Dustin Schneider from that other podcast. We talk with Anthony pretty heavy into music and influences and some gear talk. We talk tribute bands and Elvis ( thank you very much ) and being a paid traveling musician. Anthony is young, bright, talented and on his way. His band is fairly new but they are working hard to come on the scene and be a part of this amazing music community we have. The middle track is FInd Our Way and is another really upbeat rock and roll tune. We have Zach Libs and Flash Taco and special this week we have a concert calendar of sorts. So you get to hear about some of the shows and events coming up this week, so listen early and listen...often? The closing track is Take Me Home and you can find their music herehttps://www.reverbnation.com/anthonycokerandthemajesticshttps://soundcloud.com/anthony-coker-4As always check out our friends Jerry Jonestown massacreOff RadarRobotuneerIntoxicated GamerEpic PodQuest

Monday Jan 11, 2016
This is not the typical episode all though a times it really tries to be. This is either the best podcast or the worst podcast I have been a part of. It is a train wreck and wheels off and hopefully fun to listen to. The guest for the night cancelled last minute and we went the Temple of Eye for the show. Joe Tacke is missing in action and so Dustin Schneider stepped up and offered the Temple for our podcast. Zachary is there along with Rebecca Elizabeth and a dear old friend of mine showed up to witness the magic of the show. We start the show off with How Bruce Lee Died by Gorgeous Joe and it goes down hill from there. We do have a podcast first when we simulcast Robotuners live feed during our show. We finally make it to the half way point and hear My Sweet Lime by The Longshots. When we return Big Foot makes an appearance just in time for Zach Libs. We do a flash taco segment and I cant remember what else. There was beer and whiskey and moonshine and smokey eyes. I'm not sure what happened at the end. We close with another Joe Gorgeous track called 86 an Angel. Download the EP Ugly Truth here and you can name your own pricehttps://joegorgeous.bandcamp.com/Also don't forget Saturday night at Caves in Arlington for Dustin's birthday party presented by The Jerry Jonestown Massacre featuring HOOFHufferThe Me-ThinksMountain of SmokeJanuary 16 2016

Joe Savage in More or Less a Folk Odyssey
Tuesday Jan 05, 2016
Tuesday Jan 05, 2016
Happy New Year. The first guest of the brand new year is Joe Savage and what a good one it is. The show kicks off with a brand new track called It Ain't Gold. Joe Tacke and Zachary Z are with me in One Horn Studio and we recall our New Years Eves, and then talk to Joe about his songs and adventures. We talk On the Road, Beat Generation and folk heros. He just returned from his 2nd trip out west and we talk about both. This was a fun conversation and I am totally jealous of Joe and his RV. The middle track is Just a Boozer and its also brand new and written on the trip. All of Joe's songs come with a story and we get into some of them. We play Zach Libs, Flash Taco and finish with some talk about Joe Savages album More or Less a Folk Odyssey which you can purchase at joesavage.bandcamp.comFriend him on facebook and go see him play and purchase music. Joe has a golden voice and great sense as a lyricist. We chose the show with another new and fantastic track called Alpine. Ahh West Texas! I am really happy with this episode and I hope you check it out!Check out our friends Jerry Jonestown MassacreRobotunerOff RadarAtypical DFW Intoxicated Gamer

The End of the World w/ The Hendersons
Tuesday Dec 29, 2015
Tuesday Dec 29, 2015
Its the hend of the world as with know it with The Endersons and I feel fine!Merry Christmas to me! Last show of 2015 and my favorite local band drops in for a full on album listening party. Kinda. The show starts off with the first two tracks off of Indian Summer by The Hendersons. We do introductions and start talking about the album. We talk about the third track Skid Row and we hear some of it and follow that theme until the end of the album. Its so great to sit and talk with these boys about this record. I was super excited and was probably all over the place. I am sure there is a lot of " you guys are the coolest!" What can I say I love this band and I think you will too if you hear this album. Also the band has very exciting news about the album. Physical copies anyone? Find out when and where. Kinda. If you have the album pull up the track list and follow along as we go thru each song on Indian Summer and find out all kinds of interesting stories and ideas. We did manage to squeeze in some Zach Libs and what an epic one it was. So come along and join us all the way to the ending song Moonbeams. Its a cold day and I dream of an Indian Summer this and show will warm you up for sure. thehendersons.bandcamp.comfacebook thehendersonsociety
