Jacob Furr in Chicken Fried Steak and Sushi

Monday Sep 14, 2015
Jacob Furr is a true gem. He is a talented musician, he has a wonderful voice and his lyrics are some of the best in town. The truly wonderful thing about Jacob Furr is his ability to remain open and honest. What a wonderful time we had. This week we are back in the Temple of Funky because rock and roll was to much for Joe Tacke and he had to have a personal day. HR will be notified! Zachary Zanetich is here and all is well. The show kicks off with a wonderful song called Tail Lights. We give props to and talk smack about Off Radar Podcast who did a fantastic sit down with Jacob. You guys should really hear that episode. It has been just over 2 years since the passing of his wife and we talk a little about the road trip out west he took shortly after. This one tends to be a little somber at times but thats broken up with Zach Libs. After the middle track Head Lights (tentatively named) we jump right into it and its Jacobs first time doing mad libs. Our brand new segment is back Flash Taco (taco talk) and we do very little to inform you of where you can get awesome tacos. They are around we just cant remember the names of the location. Ha You can catch Jacob and his full band every Wednesday at Fred's Texas Cafe on 7th. You can also catch him this Saturday the 19th at The Live Oak for the Power the Tower a fundraiser for KFTW 97.5 The Pirate Fort Worth. You can also see The Phantom Sensation Sally Majestic Lindsay Hightower and more! Doors open at 7pm and tickets are $9.75 We close with a blog entry that Jacob wrote that really moved me as well as a beautiful song called Ophanim. You can find everything Jacob Furr at http://www.jacobfurrmusic.com/Why are you still reading you should really be hearing this!

Henry the Archer (Trying to title this is like trying to paint a fish)
Monday Sep 07, 2015
Monday Sep 07, 2015
I can only imagine what Joe Tacke thought when he saw Zach and I pull up behind Richard Phillip, from (singer) Henry the Archer, with his girl pulling up behind Dustin Schneider from The Jerry Jonestown Massacre and then learning one more Kevin Geist,(drummer) HTA, was on his way. Yes, One Horn Studios was full that night and the show was well a little off the map. The show kicks off with a brand new track, not yet released, called New Mexico. We start to talk about the new track and quickly somehow end up talking about Nickelodeon and Disney actresses. It's really hard for me to remember what we talked about after that. I remember vape talk being in there as well as their show at Shipping & Receivingand I remember giving a shout out to Susie Ramone and her fantastic homemade ketchup. The middle track is Nightmare. Its off of their album When Something Means Nothing and I've heard it a ton but this is a live acoustic version and it takes on a new life. We do Zach Libs and I introduce a new segment Flash Taco / Taco Talk. I remember Lyndsay Cole getting some love and same with Tony Diaz. I know when I listen to this tomorrow I am going to wish I had mentioned that we talked about this or that. Its late and I honestly only remember laughing a lot, trying but failing to keep the HTA boys from swearing, and the great bass controversy of 2015. The last song is an old song that is going to be on the new album called Across the Room. I know you will enjoy this one. It was funny, thoughtful, a little rowdy and just a really good good fun time. You can get Henry the Archer on itunes or amazon. Also side note before this recording Dustin and Richard were at Robotuner's Insignificant Podcast and it may be fun to hear that episode before you hear this one. Last also, photo this week by Plastik Object Photography Thanks always for listening!!

(Low Down w/ Ed Brown) What Air Pollution
Thursday Sep 03, 2015
Thursday Sep 03, 2015
This is hot off the presses. It's so hot the keys are burning me fingers. For those of you who may not read this, you will think the last song is by Squanto, however I couldn't find any Squanto sounds online. So the closing track is from Picnic, Lightning and their song Fort Worth Tx is about to Explode! Ok, with that out of the way we can get on with it. Edward Brown, freelance writer for the Fort Worth Weekly, joined me at Avoca Coffee to talk about his latest article in the Metropolis about air pollution. It seems local environmental groups are asking the EPA to reject the states plan for Fort Worth. Find out the why, the who, the what the f*** and find out what you can do about it. Check out and become a fan of Greater Fort Worth Sierra Club. So pick up a weekly and read the article and then join us as we discuss a very important issue…our air. Also check out the weekly s best of and get your votes in and don't forget Shipping & Receiving birthday bash Friday and Saturday Sept 4th and 5th. Again the closing track is by Picnic, Lightning. https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.fwweekly.com%2F2015%2F09%2F02%2Fwhat-air-pollution%2F&h=xAQHUQWr-

Jake Paleschic in Verb the Noun
Monday Aug 31, 2015
Monday Aug 31, 2015
This week we have a really good episode for you. We are back again podcasting from One Horn Studios in the heart of Fairmount and our guest is the magnificent Jake Paleschic. Joe Tacke is twisting and tweaking and this may be the best sounding one we have done so far and thank God because Jake was on fleek as my daughter would say. The show opens up with a voicemail from Zach Zanetich who is on the road with The Phantom Sensation and can't be here this week. Eagle-bones has flown the coup. The first track is called Endless Love and is off of Cowboy Songs. This song is quickly becoming a favorite of mine and I was really glad he played it on the show. Most of the episode is me gushing about how great Jake Paleschic is #sorrynotsorry Once you get past that we hear about his 6 city tour with Leon Bridges, we talk death metal, hip hop, Patriot, his epic bike ride delivering CDs and the inspirational Seth Reeves. The middle track is a track so new, so fresh, so hot, it doesn't even have a title yet. Do titles matter? With Zach out Dustin Schneider from The Jerry Jonestown Massacre is in and we play NOT Zach Libs. We have a discussion about buying cds, Jakes faith, and band names. Jake was super cool and this podcast is a really great time. Your next chance to see Jake is Saturday, September 5th at Shipping & Receiving for day two of the birthday bash. Speaking about birthdays somewhere in here we gave Ronnie Heart a birthday shout out. You can get Again At Last ttps://jpaleschic.bandcamp.com/We also give a shout out to Jason Dyer and Trade Paper Hacks and their Multiverse show as well as other local podcast and a brief mention of the Podcast Movement and the Fort Worth Weekly and our mention in the paper. The last track is called Something I Can't Wait To See and its also off of Cowboy Songs. You can also stream Jake Paleschic on Spotify. So give him a listen and you can thank me later. Thanks everyone for listening each week it really means a lot to us! Peace

Wednesday Aug 26, 2015
Recorded live to tape in One Horn Studios the whole crew is back this week. Joe Tacke is perfecting the sound and Zach Zanetich brings analog Zach Libs. Our first Dallas band made it on the show. Stereo Control opens up the show with Arms like an octopus, Mind like a goldfish. Our special guest is Lyndsay Cole founder of Red-Empire and journalist for the Fort Worth Weekly. She is fantastic and we talk about some of the shows she's booked, bands she's worked with, interning for Blackbox and her love of the Foo Fighters. The middle track is by Shake The Moon and its called Roleplaying. The second half we have Zach Libs, political talk and desert island music. Lyndsay was very cool and a whole lot of fun. Its late so Im keeping it short but there is a lot of good stuff in here about booking bands, shows, venues, smoking bars, weird request and so much more. I do hope you'll give it a listen. The last track is by Ryan Tharp called Pleased to meet You. It's currently unreleased and is going to be on his upcoming album. You can only hear it here. Cool huh? Check out Ryan Tharp Mondays at Magnolia Motor Lounge. You can see Stereo Control at the Foundry on the 28th of Aug for their EP release or catch them Sept 11 at The Grotto with Troody. Sept 4 at Shipping & Receiving you can catch Shake the Moon with Animal Spirit, The Longshots, Oil Boom and Son of Stan. Thanks for listening everyone!

It Happens Every Night w/ Andy Pickett
Sunday Aug 16, 2015
Sunday Aug 16, 2015
Most times I try and at least meet the person in passing before they come on the show but some of the more interesting ones are the people I know but have never meet like our guest Andy Pickett. I am often afraid the interview will be a lot of where are you from and how do you approach your craft but with Andy it was comfortable and like talking with an old friend. He starts the show off with the title track off of his latest release called It Happens Every Night. From there we just start talking about the community and what great talent we have. Man we talked about a lot of folks. I remember Jacob Furr, Jake Paleschic, Vincent Neil Emerson, Katie Robertson, Ronnie Heart, Leon Bridges, Nathan Brown Robby Rux, Cameron Smith, Kenny Uptain and I am sure I am missing some. Scattered in there was talk about the people who played on his album and his band. We talked some about his need for making new music and albums, The Republic Street Bar Show, FWWMA, and tons more. The middle track is a brand new track co wrote by Cameron ( ha ha ) called Who Nose the Snow which got us into a discussion about drugs and the good and bad times that go along with it. I really enjoyed that talk with him. We also talked about what our little neighborhood is now compared to what it was and speculation on what it may become. This one was a ton of fun for me and I know Andy had a great time as well. Joe Tacke and Zach Zanetich couldn't make it tonight and it was nice to kick it old school again just one on one. Not that they weren't missed. You can get Andys CD on itunes, spotify, bandcamp, soundcloud and probably at Dreamy Life Records and Music and off course you can track him down and he will gladly sell you one and you will be very happy with your new tunes! The show gets closed out with an interesting little number called Gena Rowlands in Black. Very cool. Thanks for listening andypickett.bandcamp.com

We 3 Zach Joe & me
Tuesday Aug 11, 2015
Tuesday Aug 11, 2015
This week we have no guest, by design, on the show. The show kicks off with Mucho Mango by The Longshots. Man do I love this song! We spend a little time on the house show I went to a couple of weeks ago where I obtained a mango green copy of the 45. Along with the longshots, Jake Paleschic and Bummer Vacation brought the house down. We talk with Joe Tacke about the upcoming Mean Motor Scooter EP release at The Grotto Aug 14. This EP is so good and the show is going to be amazing. Red Admirals, Chingalotus and slumberbuzz are also playing the show. Then we chat with the ever so busy Zach Zanetich. We talk about his trip with The Phantom Sensation to the Temple of Eye to visit The Jerry Jonestown Massacre boys. We also talk about the upcoming TPS tour that kicks off Aug 27th at the Grotto following The Wondercrust Movie Watchers Club. Their newest effort called Road Demos will be available that night. The middle track is The Phantom Sensations latest single called Dead Weight. This is probably my favorite song by them. If that wasn't enough we also have Funky Fort Worth Facts that you may find fascinating or far fetched. We have 10 Fort Worth Trivia questions, Aqua Bat talk, growing up on YouTube, Good Mythical Morning and Pewtie Pie. We close out the show with a super exclusive, you cant hear anywhere but here, track from the upcoming EP from Mean Motor Scooter called Son, I'm an Alien. Thanks for letting us invade your ear holes every week.

Katsuks Labyrinth
Thursday Aug 06, 2015
Thursday Aug 06, 2015
The last time Daniel Katsük was on the show he was raising money for a trek to New Zealand to try and get his song, There and Back Again, played during the closing credits of the new Hobbit movie. Its been a while since then so what is Katsuk up to now? Well, he has been working on a new record called Labyrinth and he debuts some of the songs during this show! The first song we play is called Say You Will and its full and lush and downright amazing. Of course we talk about the new album, the process, and oh guess what, it will be released as a double vinyl. We talk about some voice work Daniel has done in the anime world and some music that has made it into Dragon Ball Z. (This made Zach Zanetich very happy) The middle track is Awake and its another big song. We do some Zach Libs, talk about poop, legalizing drugs, peanut butter and aliens living among us. Oh yeah of course we talk about his trip to New Zealand, playing Evenings at Westside, Bhakti House Band, Elemental Yoga and all the magical mystical talk I love! The closing track is called Ecstasy and it's such a perfect track for the end. Its epic and takes you on a journey. Katsuk is one of the coolest cats (pun intended) and it is always awesome to hang out with him. I think you'll enjoy the conversation. Big thanks to Joe Tacke this week for having over to One Horn Studios. Make sure to follow Daniel Katsuk on Facebook and go get your yoga on at elemental! http://elementalyogatherapy.com/http://katsuk.com/
